This occupancy is a use in which care or supervision is provided to people who may be incapable of self-preservation without physical assistance or in which people are detained for penal or correctional purposes or in which the liberty of the occupants is restricted. Our previous assignments have taken us to detention facilities in Texas, research hospitals in Oregon, and short-term patient lodging facilities in the US Midwest. Features include fire protection systems, plumbing fixtures, and vertical transportation. Building exteriors are also a type of system to which our background in building design informs our photography.
