I don’t often enter a technical facility in which I have little knowledge of the environment. On this project I was assigned to capture the elements of which I was most familiar – emergency power, air conditioning, fire protection, and lighting. But once inside the control building, I was dazzled. A few familiar elements appeared – ground bus, power service entry, fire suppression tank. But after that I was in awe of the gamut of complex detail that met my lenses - what to do but shoot?
